Tempering Vessels Tempering Vessels are intended for use with circulator baths for temperature control during T2SR® rheology measurements. They are available in both 15mm and 35 mm sample vial sizes, equipped with double valved quick disconnect fittings for convenience of our rheometer users. Below is an image of the 15mm stainless steel tempering vessel, outfitted with the quick disconnect fittings and the angled vial retainer and thumb screw.
The temperature limit of the tempering vessels is the quick disconnect fittings. Tempering vessels supplied by FDI for use with the T2SR® typically use disconnect fittings having a temperature range of -20 to 80oC. Both of the tempering vessels are shown below, with the 15 mm vessel installed on the Stage Translator. Each vessel is shown with the sample vial.
